For many, it's a time for family, giving, reflecting, and worshipping. For others, it may be as simple as some time off of work and a break from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Sometimes, the stress of shopping, and guests, and travel can take a toll on us. It's important during the stressful times of the holiday season to make sure that we don't forget about our pets.

Pet Owners Doing Good

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and NatPET would like to take this opportunity to bring awareness of this important issue to it's members and all pet owners. The National Pet Association isn't just about support our beloved pets, it's also about supporting each other.

Question. What makes a great first pet? Answer.....it depends.  Choosing a pet for yourself or your family is exciting and also brings alot of questions. What type of pet? What size? What breed? What age? The list is endless.

Most people are familiar with the most commonly kept pets, dogs,cats and fish. But there are numerous other kinds of pets that can also make fantastic pets. Small mammals are a big hit with some pet owners. Animals such as  gerbils, ferrets, guinea pigs and hedgehogs...

Pet Mircochipping

Thanks  to modern technology there is a great way to safegaurd your pet. It's the microchip! If your pet gets lost and ends up being found, a simple scan can give valuable information to help reuinte you and your pet.  No one ever anticipates their pet getting lost, but it does happen. Leashes can break and dogs can run off unexpectedly, cats can quickly run out an open door or cracked window. Even smaller mammals like ferrets are being microchipped.
